To turn on the light, twist the light bezel to the left until the light comes on. To activate the noisemaker shake the light in an up and down motion to disengage the noisemaker unit, tilt the light down to reengage the noisemaker to keep it from rattling.
Switches and Buttons are great for above the water, not below. They are mechanical devices that can fail, and are a wear item over time; we wanted our product to be as reliable as engineering would permit, so twist actuation was the most logical solution for keeping our products 100% waterproof.
No, The battery compartment is separate from the noisemaker compartment.
Yes, after each dive it is strongly recommended to rinse the entire unit in fresh water, salt and debris could cause the seals to be compromised on a future dive. Before any dive check the Double O ring seals for wear, it is also recommended to periodically lubricate the O rings with Silicon Grease, never use any petroleum based lubricants as they will degrade the O rings.
No, Likely the Batteries need to be replaced, The LED has a burn time of 10,000 hours compared to 50 hours for a bulb. Always be sure to load the batteries positive + side up, and always use new batteries together, never mix and match new and older as this can cause a short circuit and damage you unit.
Only use Alkaline or rechargeable Ni-Cad Batteries for best results.
