Shake, Signal, Shine, Show
Our mission is to provide you, the diver, with a reliably powerful dive light and signaling device to point out marine life and to communicate with your fellow divers. Divers have in the past, used our lights to signal entire scuba groups attentions with signals, such as “time to go up”, “look at me”, “air check” and more-The possibilities are endless. After a long search for the best dive lights in the market, lots of field testing and research, Tektite Industries came to the table with some intriguing products and ideas. With their collaboration and knowledge, the DCT was manufactured with the foremost leader in LED lighting technology. We are sure you will find the Moray DCT and DSS product lines as versatile and as handy as our first customers do.
Safe & Simple in Any Diving Condition
Let’s face it, we didn’t want to reinvent the wheel or a dive light for that matter. We wanted to make it better with a couple of added safety features. Tektite Industries is well known for attention to detail, quality, functionality, durability, long battery burn times and having access to the most advanced LED technology in the world. This safety device is one of the brightest dive lights in its class to help you light up the oceans, lakes, quarries, wrecks, caves and anything else, no matter the location or condition. The days of banging your dive knife off your tank and carrying an enormous dive light the size of a suitcase is over. Simple and streamlined is the new diving standard.
The Foundation of Moray Dive Gear
We keep hearing comments from divers like “that’s a no brainer!”-“I wish I’d thought of that”-“Awesome safety device”-“WOW that is incredibly bright!” Even our product photographers were amazed by the lumen output of such a compact product.
So how did Moray Dive Gear come to be? In 2004, founder and CEO Trevor Theriault was involved in a potentially life threatening situation while scuba diving in the Caribbean. This incident prompted the invention of the Divers Communication Torch (DCT). A dive light with a noisemaker/dive rattle built right in. The idea came about to incorporate a noisemaking device that was audible underwater for a long distance while utilizing a popular piece of scuba equipment that most divers could integrate into their own preferred gear configuration. This device had to remain silent unless a diver wanted to activate it at their own discretion. It could not be reliant on battery power or the diver’s air source to make noise.
